Fijian Electoral Commission Chair – Suresh Chandra has shot back at some political parties saying they’re grandstanding and their personal attacks of the commission will not be condoned.
Chandra says that while political parties are crying wolf, they should know better than anyone that the electoral laws and subsequent changes are only made in Parliament.
“Laws and changes to the laws are made by Parliament. Parties should go to Parliament. Two of those parties have members in parliament. They should seek accountability from them first.”
