The 2022 General Election is critical as it will decide what kind of initiatives and care will be provided for the people in the community.

Disability Pride Hub Project Officer, Eve Naqio says the election will ensure that people with disabilities have the same political rights as everyone else.

Naqio says an active environment has been created in which persons with disabilities can effectively and fully participate in the conduct of public affairs.

“I am pleading to every citizen of Fiji and people living with disabilities to please cast your vote because it is very important. We have the numbers, the numbers are out there and we are 15 percent of the population.”

Naqio has urged eligible voting Fijians to come out in numbers and exercise their democratic right to vote.
