Fiji Unity Party condemns attack on its own

The Fiji Unity Party has condemned an attack on one of its officials by an armed gang at his home in Colo-i-Suva in the early hours of Friday last week.

Party Leader, Savenaca Narube says the party’s Secretary General, Satish Kumar was seriously injured during the break-in as the armed men forced their way into his home.

Narube says that Kumar fought with the intruders and suffered serious injuries.
Meanwhile, police has confirmed that two people have been taken in custody and three are still at large.

It’s alleged that the men took off with cash, mobile phones and laptops.
