Fiji Television Ltd has been given a six month license to operate.

Board Chairman Isoa Kaloumaira in a release today confirms the half year extension is effective as of yesterday.

He says Communications Minister Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum wrote to Fiji TV confirming the extension.

It’s valid until further notice of any additional terms and conditions including spectrum allocation.

For now Fiji TV will operate under the terms and conditions of its existing license.
