Fiji Television has appointed a substantive Chief Executive after a board meeting today.

Geoffrey Smith who was acting in the position since 16th December, has been confirmed to the position.

A company announcement to the South Pacific Stock Exchange says Smith brings a wealth of experience in the media industry.

The board has also appointed a new company secretary and a string of general managers to head various departments.
