Next year will be the first time for local films to be shown at major film festivals around the world.

Fiji National University Unistudio Director Ravi Malik told FBC News local film makers will be able to show off their skills at international events from next year.

The FNU has also chosen productions which will represent Fiji’s skills and talent in film making.

He says Fiji has alot of talent to produce movies of international standards.

Malik says although Hollywood and Bollywood are the kings of film making – Fiji has to find its own place in the movie industry.
