Fiji has a lot to learn from Korea’s export driven economy centered on manufacturing and industry says Youth and Sports Minister Viliame Naupoto.
Opening the first ever Fiji/Korea Investment Seminar in Seoul – Naupoto says Korea provides limitless opportunities for investment and technology transfer for Fiji and its private sector.
Naupoto acknowledged the presence of investors saying it would ensure the deepening of Fiji’s trade and investment relations with Korea.
He adds the Fiji government is committed to ensuring that transparency, stability and integrity remains the foundations of economic development.
Naupoto says Fiji has the ability to offer many niche export products that are not available elsewhere in the world.
The seminar attracted more than 50 representatives from over 20 companies.
This morning, Commander Naupoto visited two renewable energy companies who have already established projects in Fiji.
