Akbar says the purpose of the launch is to share information and strengthen networks within government and non-government agencies and service providers for child protection in Fiji.

It involves a collaborative approach and consolidated effort to effectively address the issue from all aspects.

The launch is a build-up event for the commemoration of the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse also known as Blue Ribbon Campaign, which is marked annually on the 19th of November.
