Fiji to host World Hindi Conference

Fiji will be hosting the World Hindi Conference in 2021.

Minister of State for Home Affairs from Government of India, Kiren Rijiju says this will further enhance the usage and implementation of Hindi language in the country.

The Minister says the promotion of Hindi language is important as it also enhances and ease communication between the two countries.

In 2021, the World Hindi Conference is going to be held in Fiji as Fiji has been an old, traditional friend of India. We have historical relationship with Fiji and Hindi language and native Fijian language must be integrated, must be part of everyone’s lives.

Rijiju says the Indian Government will also be setting up a Hindi Implementation Committee in Suva soon.

The Minister and Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal also visited Swami Vivekananda College in Nadi today to promote Hindi amongst High School students.
