Fiji through to the RWC quarterfinal

The Fiji Airways Men 7s side is through to the World Cup quarter-final after defeating Japan 35-10 in its first match.

A second-half comeback lead by Captain Jerry Tuwai has seen Fiji overcome a first half 10-7 deficit against Japan.

Japan had come out strong with their Fijian boys leading up front.

A bump off by Josefa Lilidamu on Kalione Nasoko in the 2nd minute lead to Japans first try and another one from Kameli Soejima.

The continued pressure from the Japs lead to another knock on by the beast Semi Kunatani but made up for it a minute later.

But the Japanese gave Fiji another scare as Jose Seru scored at the halftime buzzer.

The floodgates began to open with JosuaTuisova, Semi Radradra and Jasa Veremalua crossing for a 35-10 win.

Fiji will now meet Argentina at 10.54am tomorrow.
