Fiji still challenged by NCDs

Combating non-communicable diseases remains a challenge.
Health and Medical Services Minister, Rosy Akbar, says between now to 2025, Fiji will aim to continue to make progress in tackling NCDs.
“Locally, we are making progress in tackling TB, we are working closely with researchers to deal with scabies and lymphatic filarisis and we are exploring innovative approaches to addressing some key vector borne diseases.”
Akbar reiterates that everyone needs to together for a healthy nation.
