Fiji represented in North Korea

Fiji is the first country in the Oceania Pacific region to have its Ambassador in North Korea.

Fiji’s Ambassador to China Esala Teleni recently presented his credentials to North Korea’s President of the Supreme People’s Assembly – Kim Yong Nam.

Nam says this is an indication of Fiji’s goodwill to strengthen bilateral relations with North Korea.

He has highlighted that North Korea has been following developments in Fiji and most notably – Fiji’s admittance to the Non-Aligned Movement. – NAM.

Nam says they look forward collaborating with Fiji and mentioned that a joint cooperation is inevitable for generating opportunities and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Teleni also briefed Nam of the Fiji government’s roadmap to democracy and the upcoming general elections in 2014.
