Many young people from various parts of the country are undergoing a training organized by the Fiji Red Cross aimed at enhancing their skills in helping communities.
Youth Coordinator Niumai Kavea says that Red Cross believes teaching young people the right skills now will mean Fiji will have an informed society in the future.
Kavea says when youths are being equipped; they can help build a resilient community.
“You have young people who step on the fore of helping out the communities, they help out the communities and they become the solution for their communities.”
Meanwhile, Red Cross currently has over seven hundred volunteers around Fiji of which 80 percent of them are young people
