Fiji recognized at 2015 Hotel Management Awards in Australia

The winners of the 2015 Hotel Management Awards for Accommodation Excellence were named in front of a record 600 attendees at Sydney Town Hall earlier this month.

The HM Awards recognise the accommodation industry’s finest staff, properties, brands and chains across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort located in the Mamanuca’s on the island of Malolo, was awarded for the fourth time in eight years, the Best Fijian Property Award.

Highly recommended at the awards, as another fantastic Fijian property, was Vomo Island Resort.

Fiji was again recognized when Peter Hopgood of the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort won the Best South Pacific General Manager award.

Mark Leslie the GM for Vomo Island Resort and Steve Anstey, GM for Likuliku and Malolo Island Resorts were highly recommended for the same category.

Yogesh Solanki of Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa was also recognized under the Finance Associate category.

In the Service to Community category, Fiji’s Coral Coast Hotels were recognised for their contributions to the Sigatoka Hospital Maternity Ward.

Also winning in the same category was AccorHotels Pacific for their Accor Race to Survive Fiji for Cure Kids event.

A total of 67 awards were handed out on the night.
