Fiji prepares for historic visit by Australian PM

The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison will arrive in Fiji on Thursday for a historic first ever official bilateral visit.

The two-day visit is scheduled for this Thursday and Friday and will see several official engagements beginning with a meeting with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in the capital when the Australian Prime Minister arrives.

While here, Prime Minister Morrison will also meet with the President, Major General Retired, Jioji Konrote.

The headline visit comes amid a resurgence in economic and diplomatic engagement between Fiji and Australia.
While in Fiji, PM Morrison will also attend several other official engagements including a speech at the University of the South Pacific.

While in Fiji, PM Morrison plans to deliver a speech at the University of the South Pacific (USP) and conduct site visits to the Australian Pacific Training Coalition (APTC), Fiji National University (FNU) campus and the Blackrock project in Nadi.
