Staff of the Fiji Ports Corporation Limited, including Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries, yesterday received a bonus of more than three hundred thousand dollars.

Minister for Public Enterprises, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says the bonus is an indication that the workers have worked hard to bring a positive output for the organisation.

“We have a bonus of about three hundred and thirty eight thousand dollars will be paid out to the staff and over seventy percent of that is going to management staff which is good news because we need to ensure that we will always have to understand that in any organisation it is the people, the everyday workers who actually make a lot of difference to the organisation”.

Sayed-Khaiyum says workers who perform well in any organisation should be rewarded.
