Fiji Police mourns the loss of DPC Sauliga

The Fiji Police family is mourning the loss of its Deputy Commissioner Isikeli Sauliga who passed away Tuesday at Wellington Hospital in New Zealand following a short illness.

The late Deputy Commissioner was on leave in New Zealand at the time of his death.

In a statement released last night, Commissioner of Police – Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho conveyed the force’s condolences.

“We are saddened by the loss of our Deputy Commissioner who at the age of 53 had a proud policing career serving in Fiji and in overseas missions.”

He noted that DPC Sauliga had on many occasions held the post of Acting Commissioner of Police and was a loyal member of the Fiji Police Force and his services will be missed by all members of the policing family.

DPC Sauliga hailed from Nadogo, Saqani in the province of Cakaudrove and is survived by his wife and six children.
