October 9, 2018 7:49 pm

Police Deputy Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu along with other Government Officials visited the CWM children’s ward in Suva yesterday to share the spirit of giving and love a day before Fiji Day.

Tuidravu during the visit urged the parents and guardians of the parents to give their priority and attention to the children as they are the vulnerable group in our societies.

He says we need to create a safer environment for our children given assault and other crimes against children are increasing.

“We have emphasized that the vulnerable groups are our young ones and my message is to the guardians and the parents, that we need to prioritize and put focus on our children. It’s not only they are victims of crimes but perpetrators as well.”

During the visit, Tudravu distributed books and toys to the children admitted at the hospital.

The Fiji Day celebrations will be held in Labasa today and FBC will also be hosting a celebration at the Albert Park in Suva from 3pm to 10pm.

There will also be lots of entertainment including live bands, dance groups and face painting.
