The Fiji Police Force farewelled not only two senior officers but a couple that have spent more than 70 years of service to the institution between them.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho and senior officers this week farewelled ASP Sakiusa Tikotani and ASP Setaita Tikotani, one of the many couples who have served in the Force.

Sakiusa Tikotani is known by many as the former head of the popular Fiji Police Band while Tikotani was the head of the Tourist Police Unit before serving the remainder of her months at the Police Headquarters.

Mr Tikotani enlisted in the Fiji Force on 5th March 1979 while Mrs Tikotani joined a year later.

Following the completion of their basic recruit course both have served in various formations.
