Koroilavesau says they have agreed to the principles and conditions of the treaty and they will sign once it has been discussed and passed by parliament.

“We have been involved in all the negotiations and discussions for the treaty and we have aligned the discussions to our national policy but we have not signed it because we haven’t carry out the due process basically means that we have to take it up to cabinet and once approved then we can sign it.”

Koroilavesau says they will discuss the treaty in the next sitting of Parliament in February.
