Fiji’s voice of rugby, Graham Eden says skipper, Setefano Cakau, Levani Botia,
Joji Ragamate, Ilia Tinai and Sikeli Vuruna were instrumental on Day One.

“Really and truly they carried the flag for Fiji all day – the opening match was a cracker.

It was the game that we played to get us into the picture against England and beating them, 29-19 showed strength, it showed courage, guts and determination.

The second game against Scotland, Scotland played better than I’d ever seen them play before, they looked as if they saved their best until they played Fiji and they managed in the last minute and a half to get up in front.

We were a little concerned about what Fiji would do against New Zealand. But Fiji scored first a fortunate dropped pass giving Fiji the advantage and they never looked back from there.

Yes, we’ve gone into the quarter-finals and we did it well, we deserve to congratulate the team, they deserve our congratulations.”
