Fiji joins Australia's Pacific Labour Scheme

Fiji has become the latest country to join Australia’s Pacific Labour Scheme.

This means that Fijians can now work in rural or regional Australia for up to three years.

According to Radio New Zealand, the scheme has been launched to help address labor shortages in remote areas and has been taken up by nine Pacific countries.

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne, says she is pleased more Fijians will have access to work and train in Australia.
