Fiji Airways Spokesperson says their team is aware of the incident and is monitoring the situation closely.

It says that they will not operate the Miami Air aircraft until they know more about the incident in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Airline has stressed that the safety of their passengers is and always will be their number one priority.

Fiji Airways made the decision to lease an aircraft for the upcoming peak period to limit any disruptions to guests’ travel plans.

Miami Air is a charter company based out of Miami in the United States, and have leased aircraft to airlines like British Airways, Air France, and TUI, among others.
