A Fijian national died on the Fiji Airways flight from Nadi to Hong Kong last night thousands of feet off the ground.

It’s believed the deceased is in his 50s and was traveling with his son.

According to a passenger on the plane, the incident happened 3 hours before the flight landed at Hong Kong this morning.

Flight attendants and the pilot’s efforts to help the man proved futile.

Fiji Airways confirmed the man was on the flight FJ 391 Nadi-Hong Kong service.

Attempts made by the cabin crew and a medical practitioner to revive the guest were unsuccessful.

Fiji Airways says arrangements have been made by the aircrew for Hong Kong Authorities to meet the aircraft upon arrival into Hong Kong.

Fiji Airways understands the guest was declared deceased by Hong Kong authorities.
