Fiji Airways has appointed Sharun Ali as their general manager safety, security and quality – this is a promotion from his previous position as Senior Manager Safety and Security.
The Fiji Sun reports that Fiji Airways managing director Stefan Pichler says there was a stringent criteria in place for executive appointments such as this and Sharun has demonstrated over the past eight months that he is fully deserving of the position.
Ali has 17 years of experience with the airline having worked as Flight Attendant and Quality Auditor before moving in various manager roles with the airline’s safety and security department.
He is currently pursuing his Masters in Quality Systems and in this new position he reports directly to the managing director and chief executive.
