Matemosi was chosen by the airline to design its new branding in 2013 for its transition from the former Air Pacific.

Fiji Airways Board Director Stefan Pichler in a statement says they are deeply saddened by news of her passing.

He adds Matemosi’s collaboration has led to much acclaim and appreciation of the new logo.

As a tribute to the designer, the second A330 aircraft is named after her village; “Namuka-I-Lau”.

Funeral arrangements for Matemosi are being finalised.
