Fiji 7's team for Olympics named

The Vodafone Fiji 7’s side to play at next month’s Rio Olympics has been named.

As predicted by FBC Sports, Masivesi Dakuwaqa and Viliame Mata are the surprise inclusions in the squad.

Savenaca Rawaca, Samisoni Viriviri and Josua Tuisova are sure to provide firepower outside while Osea Kolinisau, Jerry Tuwai, Kitione Taliga and Vatemo Ravouvou will give coach Ben Ryan a lot of options at the halfback and rovers position.

Leone Nakarawa, Semi Kunatani, Jasa Veremalua and Apisai Domolailai have proven records of why they should be in the final team.

Dakuwaqa will be the traveling reserve in the team.

Fiji takes on Brazil in its first match at 4.30am on 10th of August, they will then face Argentina at 9.30am and plays USA at 4.30am on the 11th of August.

The medal quarterfinal will be held from 8am, with medal semi-final starting at 5.30am on 12 of August and Gold final will be played at 10.30am.
