FIFA World Cup business picks up in Suva

With only four days to the FIFA World Cup 2018 – business has picked up for most traders in the Capital City.

TappooCity Level 1 Manager, Maraia Cawani says a lot of Fijians have been coming in purchasing soccer merchandise from their favourite team jerseys, soccer balls and even boots.

Cawani says many people are getting into the spirit of the World Cup.

“Basically we all know soccer is one of the main sport that a lot of Fiji people are always looking forward to and at the moment we’ve been getting a good response from the customers basically of the wide range of world soccer jerseys we have.”

FNPF plaza QAQA store Manager, Asif Mohammed says most of the soccer merchandise are in demand.

“It’s huge in demand because we have a lot of fans like Uni students and business houses coming in buying these in bulk”

Meanwhile, the FIFA World Cup will start this Friday.
