FICAC conducts search at Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Office

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption yesterday conducted a search at the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission Office.

This has been confirmed to FBC News by FICAC spokesperson, Bettylyn Matakitoga who says she will not be able to divulge any further details on the search at this stage.

Meanwhile speaking to the Fiji Sun, Commission Director Ashwin Raj said no one is above the law.

Raj also told Fiji Sun that as public office holders, they must be held accountable at all times and subject themselves to scrutiny.

He says the Commission will facilitate the preliminary independent investigation conducted by FICAC without any obstruction to ascertain if there is any veracity to the allegation leveled against him.

It is believed FICAC had received a complaint against Raj.
