Two men appeared in court today facing bribery related charges.
Director of Ariana Used Cars Abdul Shekeb and former Acting National Manager Customs Josefa Marawa appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court.
The Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption has charged Abdul Shekeb with two counts of bribery of public servant, while Josefa Marawa is charged with two counts of bribery.
FICAC is intending to apply to have the case transferred to the High Court.
Prosecution lawyer Lilian Mausio says they are not objecting to the release of the vehicle which was given to Marawa.
However they are requesting the accused to deposit $25, 000 in court for cash bond which is equivalent to the cost of the vehicle.
Bail has been extended to the 26th of this month.
