January 8, 2018 4:29 am

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association is working closely with the Water Authority to manage the four day planned water disruption next month.

The Authority will be carrying out major maintenance work at their Nagado Water Treatment Plant and there will be complete water shutdown in Nadi while a few areas in Lautoka will be affected.

Association President, Dixon Seeto says they are glad that enough time has been given for them to prepare themselves.

“Many of them have water conservation measures in place but obviously during that period we just need to be a lot more i guess critical addressing that problem because its four days it’s not just one day or two days, it’s going to be a prolonged period . We have measures in place, we just need to make sure those measures are enforced.”

The Water Authority will be meeting with hoteliers this week to look at ways they can better manage operations during the planned water disruption from next month.
