The Frank Hilton Organization is working towards organizing and holding more hearing projects in the outer islands.
Organization’s specialist in Hearing Aids and Ear Care Sevanaia Ratumaitavuki says last year, they visited Levuka and this year they plan to visit more communities.
Last year they also visited communities in Savusavu and Labasa.
“This year, we are targeting Kadavu and Taveuni. So we will go and do hearing projects in these communities targeting mostly children.”
Ratumaitavuki says children who are screened and if hearing impairment is detected, they will be given hearing aids.
He says the hearing aids will then help these children with speech therapy as well.
