Fijian Holding Limited is in the final stages of signing and sealing a contract with an overseas construction company to build their $65 million FHL Tower in Suva.

FHL Group Chief Executive Nouzab Fareed says the tower will be situated in the middle of the Suva Business District and is a major investment by the group.

”Signing of the contract will happen very soon within the next two to three weeks’ time. Thereafter, immediately we will mobilize and we will start ground breaking for the FHL Tower which is going to be seventeen floors and it will cost us more than $65 million, so that is where we are going.”

Fareed says once completed, diplomatic missions and multi-lateral agencies will occupy the building as there is not much space for retail outlets.

He says the construction of the 17 storey tower will finish within two years and is expected to open in 2020.

The FHL Group consists of fourteen subsidiaries and is a listed company on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
