The Fijian Holding’s Limited is looking at ways to attract more women in taking up positions as members of their board.

Group Chief Executive, Nouzab Fareed says they currently don’t have any ladies on the FHL main board.

Fareed says they have made a request with 1200 shareholders for support as they want to have at least one or two women onboard.

He says this is one of the issues which they’re trying to address in their Annual General Meeting.

”Apart from that in the entire FHL Group there are 33 percent of female group directors. The only thing we are still lacking is that we don’t have a female on the FHL main board and we want to satisfy that requirement by November 27th.”

The Fijian Holdings Limited will be having their AGM on the 27th of next month in Suva, where they’ll discuss other issues.
