The Fijian Holdings Limited will not only focus on the Fijian Market but overseas markets as well for all printing services.

FHL’s Group chief executive, Nouzab Fareed says this comes after the Government Printery and Stationery Department was fully privatized following the sale of the business for six million dollars.

Fareed says they’re looking at international markets to provide other services as there’s a high demand from markets abroad.

“If you look at the New Zealand market, not only printing, they have even stopped producing cement. So most of the manufacturing is Australia and New Zealand are going away because Asian Market is cheap. So that is why we are also bringing in Sri Lankan expertise to Fiji to bring the printing cost down. So we also become attractive to Australia and New Zealand companies.”

He says they are mainly targeting the Australian and New Zealand markets.

“We also want to export this as a service. Australia and New Zealand need a lot of printing as a service. Things like wine bottle printing, brochures. We will be able to do light packaging for printing as well and textbooks. So we see a good future.”

The FHL says they’re also on their way to establishing new working relationships and strengthening ties with some companies from New Zealand and Australia.
