The crushing season is progressing well in most sectors says the Fiji Sugar Corporation executive chair Abdul Khan.

Khan says like any other season a few issues surfaced and they are working on resolving it.

_“We looking at those areas that needs priority because the cane is good, its mature, its ready to come in. The mills are operating well as I said we had a few teething issues, those issues are resolved as we working through and I am quite hopeful that everything going on well from next week we should see a good season.” _

The cane supply was slow at the beginning of the mill and FSC is urging the cane farmers to make use of the good weather and supply fresh cane.
