Nausori police are investigating the discovery of a fetus in a public toilet.

Police say a town council worker found a parcel wrapped in plastic on Friday and left it aside thinking someone would come back for it.

However – when he found the parcel untouched yesterday – he opened it and found the fetus.

Police are urging people with information to come forward.

The post mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
