The Fijian Elections Office will be conducting a National Election for the Fiji Teachers Union this Saturday.

Saneem says there are four candidates contesting the two Vice Presidents positions while six candidates are vying for the three Executives Committee Members post.

He says they are using nine schools in the Western Division as polling venues, eight in the Northern Division and six in the Central Division.

Saneem adds unlike the General Election where voters are assigned their polling venue, FTU members can cast their vote at any polling venue provided their name appears in the Voter list and have a valid ID.

All polling venues will open at 9am on Saturday except for Levuka Primary School which opens at 10am.

The results of the FTU National Election are expected next Tuesday
