” Also at the same time, our teams have been advised that we will be checking ourselves, the polling station details of all voters. So we will come up to you in the streets and obviously identify ourselves and say that we would like to check if your voter details and your polling station details are correct and accurate.”

Nand adds that they will also ask people for their voter number and text it to 1500 and verify to the voter, whether they’re polling venue is correct or not.

Meanwhile, more than six hundred thousand Fijians have registered for the 2018 General Election as of 1st August this year.

Registration will close on the day the writ of election is announced.
