The Fijian Elections Office is ready to carry out the election should it be called tomorrow.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says their staffing has been finalised with polling agents now all contracted.

Training he says is also being undertaken to enhance the processes in place that would be required during the general election.

“We have sufficient staff now contracted and on standby, we have all the materials in stock and we are on standby mode for the election.”

Around 20 point four million dollars was allocated for the Fijian Elections Office for the new financial year.
