Feminist knowledge and skill-sharing Camp held for the first time

Fifty feminist activists comprising of women and human rights defenders and climate activists attended the first workshop of its kind in Fiji and the Pacific this week.

Organised by local non-governmental organisation – Diverse Voices and Action for Equality known as DIVA, the workshop which was held over two days earlier this week focused on knowledge sharing on feminist concepts using visual community teaching aids.

Incorporating a safe space, participants also shared information on various key resources and projects available in Fiji for feminists, there was a session on the LGBTI community and women human rights defenders and establishing a network of activist voices.

Senior representatives from the Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation also participated in the inaugural workshop.
