President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote today received the new envoy from the Federated State of Micronesia, Sebastian Anefal at Government house.

Ambassador Anefal has been a career civil servant, working his way up the ranks in various ministries and departments.

He has served as the Governor to the State of Yap and prior to his appointment was special consultant to the Governor.

The Ambassador has represented his country in international organizations such as the Pacific Islands Forum, Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.

He will be based in Suva.
