The Fiji Electricity Authority says with the weather clearing now their teams are able to continue inspection, repair and restoration works in more areas.

However the Authority says access to a lot of areas is still hampering the restoration process.

The Authority is prioritising restoration of power to Hospitals, Health Centres, Water Treatment Plants, and residential sub-divisions.

So far restoration works in Rakiraki is 50% complete; 25% in Tavua; 82% in Ba; 88% in Lautoka, 70% in Nadi and 45% in Sigatoka.

Power rationing will continue in the Central Division and the FEA engineers will begin repair works on the damaged tower today.
