The Fiji Development Bank has confirmed they will complete working on the conditions of the Green Climate Fund by next month.

With a total of ten conditions set out for them in their accreditation for the GCF, FDB Chief Executive Officer Mark Clough says they are currently working on the two remaining policies.

Clough says they will need to meet the conditions first in order to access the Green Climate Fund to start funding projects pertaining to climate change.

“The two policies and the completion of the two policies represent a milestone for FDB, they are major policies obviously when it comes to projects, procurement in particular is quite important and the other policies is equally important.”

The GCF is a global fund that supports the efforts of developing countries to adapt their economies to the impacts of climate change.
