FDB reviews Agro businesses

The Fiji Development Bank is currently reviewing two schemes it stopped a few years back.

FDB Chief Executive Deve Toganivalu told FBC News the Agro Finance and Micro Credit were stopped because all their allocation had been used up.

Farmers on unleased land always got loans up to $5000 for agriculture purposes under the scheme without any security

The FDB has set aside $3 million for the scheme and an extra one million dollars was given by Government.

He says the bank is trying its best to facilitate Government’s initiative on agro businesses.
