September 26, 2014 8:08 pm

The Fiji Development will be providing assistance to rehabilitate customers who may be affected by the drought.

This comes after the Ministry of Agriculture revealed that damage has cost about 20 million dollars.

FDB Chief Executive Officer, Deve Toganivu says that a major part of development banking is the ability to provide assistance to facilitate growth as well as alleviate hardship.

As immediate relief measures, FDB will offer repayment moratorium, interest payment only and loans for rehabilitation purposes.

The FDB is encouraging its drought affected clients to consult with their officers on how best the bank can assist them
