Recognizing the outstanding achievement of small and medium enterprises is important for enhancing and developing the economy.

Speaking as Chief Guest at the launch of the Fiji Development Bank Small and Medium enterprises Awards – FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Ian Rouse says such events will encourage various business operators.

‘’These annual awards have been created as a recognition mechanism for small and medium enterprise entities who against insurmountable odds, continue to thrive because of the tenacity and determination of its operators, this is worthy of praise and commendation for their efforts’’.

A total of 15 awards and $36,000 in prize money are up for grabs this year.
