December 26, 2016 12:26 am

The Fiji Corrections Service made Christmas extra special for inmates by allowing immediate family members to spend the day with them.

Commissioner of Corrections, Commander Francis Kean says the intent is for inmates to understand that the FCS and their families care and that one day offenders might turn a new leaf – becoming law abiding citizens.

Seventy-five year-old Kusitino Buka of Lautoka has two sons incarcerated, and was thankful for the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with them.
