The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission is urging Fijians to raise their concerns in the right forums in order for action to be taken.
FCCC Chief executive, Joel Abraham says while the Commission doesn’t wait to receive complaints in order for it to monitor vulnerable sectors – proactive measures can be taken when complaints are raised.
“If you have any issues pertaining to your rights as a consumer and you feel that your rights are being infringed or there are issues with a particular good or service you received and you would like to raise a complain the best forum is to do it to the enforcement agency and the FCCC is here to protect the rights of all Fijians. While putting posts on social media may be a way of venting their frustrations but if you really want something done about it then you need to raise it to the right forum.”
Abraham reiterates that the FCCC has been set-up to protect the rights of consumers and Fijians should take advantage of this platform.
He adds complaints can be lodged through the Commission’s online services or walk-in to their offices.
