The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has been identified by many countries as a model worth replicating.
Commission Chief Executive, Joel Abraham says they have had Samoan delegations visit Fiji for a scoping mission and see how they operate in order to establish their own.
“The FCCC is actually leading an initiative to establish a regional network of regulators in bids to ensure that we are able to collaborate at a regional level given there’s a lot of trade and commerce with globalization happening, it’s no longer Fiji’s on its own in economy, now the economy is growing at a regional level.”
Abraham says Vanuatu had also sent a representative to look at operations and replicate it in their country.
He adds this was also a milestone achievement for the commission.
